about

“In A World Of Human Wreckage” was sporadically written, recorded and collaborated on from March of 2021 to May of 2022.

Mastered by Mombi Yuleman

Following the events of, “Amongst the Snow and the Shadows,” our wayward traveler and protagonist reaches what he believes to be a safe haven, but soon discovers a city overrun and ruled by mechanical overlords. Imprisoned, he reaches the deepest depths of despair, but soon finds hope and escapes the city… only to once again realize that the world came to its end a long time ago, but free at last, he wanders through a world of human wreckage…

The concept of this album took its inital form in March of 2021, and was originally going to be titled, “14,600 Days on Planet Earth,” and I was planning on releasing it on August 18th -- my 40th birthday, but this did not happen. As the months, then weeks and eventually days drew closer to that date, I found myself constantly losing motivation for creating dark ambient music. Something changed inside of me and I’m not exactly sure what it was. As such, the completion of the album was constantly pushed to the side, almost to the point where I gave up on it. However, since other artists were involved from the get go, it was my responsibility and goal to eventually finish it. Whether or not this will be the last Noctilucant album is hard to say, but I feel like it might be the last one for a long time.

Musically this album is presented in a more soundtrack-ish and dark ambient form, with generally shorter songs making up the bulk of the album. Enjoy and oblivion to you all.

A heartfelt thanks and friendly handshake to; Mombi Yuleman, Scott Lawlor, Visions of Ulnahar, Psyclopean, Infinexhuma, Oestergaards, Palazzo’s Monstrosity Coil, Dev-I-Ant, and Grune Maar.
