Bruce Moallem
An album that showcases the diversity and growth of Joseph as an artist. Plus his homemade physical copies are a work of art in themselves. I highly suggest picking one up.
Favorite track: Deep in their Roots.

This is like a dark ambient variety record. Each track is unique to itself and makes for a really enjoyable listen from beginning to end. I'm really happy that Joseph has compiled these soundtrack pieces for a compilation as I feel they are quite worthy of a stand alone listen!
Favorite track: Minamalist Dark Ambient.

After being inspired by the Peter Andersson album, ‘Music for Film and Exhibition,’ I decided to start composing completely original scores for my YouTube videos, short films and documentaries, rather than just using previously released music of mine.
This album is a collection of those songs, which means this is technically a compilation, and the flow of it might be a little awkward, but nevertheless I’m really proud of these songs, short and long ones, and wanted to make them available for download.
As some of you might know my first foray into the world of soundtracking was back in late 2017, with the, ‘Descension: Original Soundtrack.’ In retrospect, this should have been released under my own name, but I decided to release it under the Noctilucant name to help promote the project.
Even though these songs could have been released under the Noctilucant banner, I decided to release them under my own name, because I felt like it might be a gateway to start promoting myself as a composer, which is something I’d like to pursue further.

“The Child and the Serpent (intro),” originally appears as an intro to the song of the same name and was wrote for the black metal band, Canis Dirus.
“Shifting Shadows Accompany Me,” originally appears in the Dark Ambient documentary, titled; ‘Creating a Dark Ambient Song.’
“H.W.F.,” or Hardcore Wrestling Federation, was a backyard wrestling thing I did with some friends back when I was a teenager in the late 90’s. When I was quarantining in late March and April of 2020 I got bored and started ripping the old VHS footage and uploaded some of the episodes to YouTube. I created this short song as an intro to the first episode.
“Cloistered,” was a short film I wrote, shot, edited and released in mid-April of 2020.
“The Inner Sanctum-1st Intro.” originally appears in episode 16 of, The Inner Sanctum: A Dark Ambient Vlog.
“Deep in their Roots,” originally appears in my short film, ‘Deep in their Roots.’
“The Inner Sanctum-2nd Intro,” originally appears in episode 22 of, The Inner Sanctum: A Dark Ambient Vlog
“Minamalist Dark Ambient,” originally appears in the YouTube video, ‘Minamalist Dark Ambient Created Entirely from Field Recordings.’
“A Placid Island of Ignorance,” originally appears as an intro to episode 22 of, The Inner Sanctum: A Dark Ambient Vlog
“The Mother of all Spider Webs,” originally appears in my short film, ‘The Mother of all Spider Webs.’

❤️My original plan was to go through and buy individual tracks like I do with most compilation albums, but honestly there are just so many good ones that I wound up buying the whole thing. More than simple drones (though there are plenty of those, too), this album collects many of the best and most innovative dark ambient artists in one place, including many who are new to me. A must-have for any dark ambient fan's collection. Plushie Fanatic
In the music of Paul Jordan, digitally manipulated field recordings become striking electronic songs that feel eerie and surreal. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 7, 2020
Moody dark ambient from Dahlia’s Tear, the expansive sounds on “Through the Nightfall Grandeur” are as melancholy as they are unsettling. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 16, 2018
