nosluap This is really killer stuff on this new release. I’m really liking how layered and dense the tracks are but it never seems to get too smothering like some ‘noise’ projects seem to do. Kinda reminds me of a much more focused Vomit Orchestra. Favorite track: Death Takes us All.

Bruce Moallem An interesting and unsettling trip through the dark side of the psyche. This is the album you put on to scare your “normal music” listening friends with. Favorite track: Death Takes us All.

Sonologyst a very interesting album by J. Mlodik (Noctilucant), who runs through new and unpredictable territories by melting different musical influences in a very creative mix. To keep into the radar. Favorite track: Skulls & Skeletons (feat. Infinexhuma).

about

Sonic Oscillations is a new project of mine where the main intention is to take the listener through a cacophony of genres, including; power electronics, noise, industrial, funeral doom, dark ambient, and unexplainable experimental territories. The music is augmented with various samples from movies/documentaries/anime, awkward beats, heavily edited acoustic instruments, field recordings, harsh screamed vocals, and even a little humour.

The album has a theme of death/mortality, the evil within all of us, depression, rage, and the baffling thoughts which plague me and many of us every single day. The bulk of the album was recorded under extreme moods of depression and/or anger, which resulted in a very unique and organic result. I’ve wanted to create a project like this for many, many years. A project where I could do literally anything I wanted without much care of the final results or the reception.

A lot of artists could be referenced as influences for this album, but my friend Jeremiah and his project, HollowHecatomb, was probably the one that gave me the initial inspiration and lots of creative ideas. You can hear his music here: hollowhecatomb.bandcamp.com

A special thanks to Lucas Levyliotar for his interest in this project and his contributions to, Skulls & Skeletons (additional noise, vocals and piano). To my future wife, Kara Phillips, and her thunderously heavy guitar riffs on, Death Takes us All, and to, Dan Mummert for the extra noise on, Track 6. The lyrics in You can See the Atoms Vibrating are taken from a poem by, Pablo Saborio (beyondlanguagepoetry.com/tag/nihilistic-poems/).

All other music/lyrics/artwork created, performed and recorded by Joseph Mlodik from February of 2019 to December of 2019.
