This 44 minute track is the Descension soundtrack in its rawest form and was created long before I received any script or had viewed any artwork for the graphic novel. From the get go it made sense to make the soundtrack as more or less one continuous piece, but it wasn’t until I received the script that this original draft was split up and parts of it were joined to assemble the final soundtrack.

What you hear here lacks all the melodic characteristics that the final soundtrack has, as well, this demo predates Kara laying down any vocal input. A lot of other parts for the final soundtrack were wrote later once I’d received the script too. Interestingly a lot of parts that did make it to the final soundtrack are here, as well, most of the leftover bits that ended up on ‘The Remnants of the S.S. Darwin’ compilation can be heard here, too. [Note: The synth passage from 27:50 to 29:50 was wrote/played by Kara, but was ultimately left off both the final soundtrack and the compilation.]

This is obviously only for the super fans, and those that want to hear absolutely everything in my archives. Thus, that’s why this is a subscriber only item. As subscribers I’d have to ask that you keep this to yourself, as this isn’t meant to be a public release. Feel free to burn it to a CD-R and listen as much as you desire, but please don’t pass this through the internet or upload it to YouTube or other places where non-subscribers might be able to hear it. Thank you.

With that being said, I hope you find this early demo to be interesting, especially if you ended up enjoying Descension.

Since creating the subscriber option for my music I’d always sort of planned to do a release like this, but just never really got to it. So, I think every few months I’ll go through the archives and see what I can dig up or even make some new demos available to your ears long before anyone else.
