about

“And I Fell into Darkness and Foul Dreams” is the third full-length album from House of the Maker, which has been made in direct collaboration with Dark Ambient/Drone master, Scott Lawlor. House of the Maker & Scott Lawlor take the listener on a two hour long journey through ancient forests uninhabited by humans, wintry frozen worlds, mysterious dream planes, and a place in the blackest of nights that few dare travel to (or return from) -- Music for the nocturnal hours and a place to find comfort in the gloom.

“And I Fell into Darkness and Foul Dreams, and woke and found that waking was worse,” is a phrase from J.R.R. Tolkien’s, ‘The Return of the King,’ Chapter 10: The Tower of Corith Ungol
